“Post-punk might not be new, but like their name, with a few tweaks and some bold personality Eagulls have defiantly made it their own.”* – Q Magazine
Angst ridden lads whose music encompasses the morbid English, never-ending grey, Eagulls are set to come to Australia for a comparatively sunshiney set of shows in early 2015.
The Leeds five-piece don’t aim to seek empathy from listeners, but rather place two central fingers firmly up with their, as slurred by Pitchfork, ‘fuck-the-world attitude’ that radiates throughout their seminal debut self-titled LP. Devoid of ‘pithy pastorial harmonies’ (MTV Buzzworthy), the confrontational Eagulls’ sound aims to grab by the shoulders and shake vigorously for a reaction.
The band have spent the past six months playing sold out shows UK tour with the likes of Franz Ferdinand and Manic Street Preachers as well as headlining sold out shows across the UK, Europe and the States. They are heading downunder as part of St Jerome’s Laneway Festival, and play two exclusive sideshow dates in Melbourne and Sydney.
